In our ongoing efforts, Maldives Immigration is working with Male’ City Council and Maldives Police Services to conduct targeted Immigration enforcement operations in Male’ City. As a part of this operation Maldives Immigration has conducted a targeted Immigration enforcement operation in Male’ City today.
In today’s operation, 80 expatriates were brought in for further investigation and 69 of them were detained for violation of Immigration law. All of those detained will be evaluated on a case by case basis and subjected to the Immigration removal process. Additionally, strict legal actions will be taken against all responsible employers in violation of Immigration law.
The Controller General of Immigration urges public to report suspected cases of illegal migration. The cases can be reported to relevant investigating authorities or designated email firstname.lastname@example.org or to the designated mobile number 7980408.
