Controller General of Immigration Mohamed Ahmed Hussain has revealed arrangements will be made before the end of the year to apply for passport services via email.
Speaking at a press conference held to disseminate information regarding the tasks of Maldives Immigration, Controller General Mohamed Ahmed stated efforts are underway to enhance the services and ease access to services provided by the authority. He mentioned several projects will commence this year.
Moreover, during the press conference, the controller general revealed plans to provide services online to ensure the services are available anywhere in the country. In this regard, he noted currently, efforts are underway to introduce online application services.
Furthermore, the controller general expressed in efforts to ease access to services, the speed the services are provided has been boosted. In this regard, he revealed attaining business visa, which previously takes five days, will be issued within 48 hours of applying, adding business visa will also be issued from Addu City from February onwards.
