Maldives Immigration introduces Online Work Visa Service on Sunday, and applicants can apply for visa through online portal from 17th November 2019. This service enables the employers and recruitment agencies to apply for the service through Xpat Online System.
This service will enhance efficiency while easing the visa submission process for individuals and business organizations.
The online visa will be processed within 48 hours of submission, and when the application is processed, applicants can request for an online appointment to submit the passport(s) for visa.
Visa process will take three working days and the applicant will be notified when the passport is ready for collection. An online appointment can be fixed once again for passport(s) collection.
With the introduction of the online module, the service will reduce humongous queues and Xpat Online System users can apply for Work Visa at their convenience. However, the system will be accessible from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on working days.
