President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Mohamed Ahmed Hussain as the Controller General of Immigration. The appointment was made at the level of state minister at a ceremony held at President’s Office. The new immigration controller previously worked at the marketing department of Public Service Media (PSM).
The president made the appointment following the resignation of Mohamed Anwar from the post of Controller General of Immigration. Anwar had not attended to his duties ever since President Solih assumed office.
Furthermore, President Solih appointed Ibrahim Ashraf as the Deputy Controller of Immigration. The appointment was made at the level of Deputy Minister.
