The Government of Maldives has been taking several precautionary measures to ensure public health and safety, due to the outbreak of covid-19 in Maldives. As the government offices are closed since 19^th March 2020, it has come to our notice that employers and foreigners residing in Maldives on different types of visas (tourist visa, dependent visa, work visa and others) are finding difficulty in paying visa fee or renewing the visa.

After assessing these concerns and the current situation, it has been decided to waive the fine payments of the visas, which expires between 19^th March 2020 and 30^th June 2020. Additionally, as the visa services are suspended, visas can be renewed when the government resumes work.
