Maldives Immigration has launched upgraded Dhivehi Passport Services, introducing a range of improvements designed to enhance customer convenience and provide a more accessible and efficient service experience. The upgraded services were officially launched by the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, Hon. Ali Ihusaan.
The upgraded services include dedicated assistance for senior citizens and individuals with special needs to complete their passport applications online. In addition, a dedicated facility has been introduced to assist customers with passport photographs and the online application process. The waiting area has also been enhanced to provide greater comfort, while a dedicated information counter is available to assist customers with general inquiries and service guidance.
Speaking at the inauguration, Controller General of Immigration, CP (Retd) Ahmed Faseeh, highlighted the importance of continuously improving one of the services most closely connected to Maldivian citizens.
“Dhivehi Passport Services are among the key services we provide directly to our citizens. Today, these services are available in every atoll, and we continue to expand access even further. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen enjoys an easy, convenient, and hassle-free experience when applying for a Dhivehi Passport.”
The launch of the upgraded services reflects Maldives Immigration’s continued commitment to improving public services through innovation, accessibility, and customer-focused initiatives, ensuring that every applicant receives efficient and reliable passport services.
